Goa Gil is worldwide known as the Godfather of Goa Trance. He is not only an internationally known musician and a DJ, but also a person with a very deep spiritual background as a hindu sadhu. For him the party is sacred and he calls his party concept "Redefining the ancient tribal ritual for the 21st Century".

This video includes a very deep interview with Goa Gil about his life as a sadhu and about his party concept of a spiritual initiation. In the video you can also see Goa Gil aka Mangalanand Giri while he was taking part in the largest spiritual gathering of humanity on Earth, the Kumbha Mela Gathering in India. The Kumbha Mela is held at four sacred places in India and is celebrated once every twelve years at each of the four places. According to an ancient hindu legend the drops of immortality fell exactly on those four places and thousands of pilgrims and sadhus come to the Kumbha Mela to take their spiritual bath in the holy water.




In the documentary Goa Gil expresses his opinion about the shamanic aspect of the trance parties and explores the spiritual trance dance initiation into a higher state of consciousness. He explains his approach about the dark side of psychedelic trance and his visions and hopes for the future of humanity.
